In 2025, Universal Orlando Resort will redefine what it means to experience entertainment with the opening of Epic Universe, its most ambitious theme park to date. Spanning over 300 acres, it is Universal’s largest development in the United States since the creation of its first park in 1990. Epic Universe represents not just a physical expansion, but a conceptual leap into the future of attractions.

Epic Universe is designed as a “multiverse” divided into four fully immersive themed worlds, connected by a central park called Celestial Park – a sort of “stargate” from which visitors can transport themselves to entirely different realities. Each of these worlds offers a coherent narrative, immersive architecture, and cutting-edge technology that fuses the physical with the digital.

Celestial Park: The heart of the universe

This will be the first area visitors experience upon entering the park. Instead of a traditional main street, Celestial Park offers an open, futuristic atmosphere with gardens, interactive fountains, light shows, and an ambiance that sets the stage for what’s to come. Here you’ll find Starfall Racers, a high-speed dual roller coaster symbolizing the kinetic energy of interdimensional travel, along with a wide variety of cosmic-themed restaurants and shops.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

After the success of the Harry Potter areas in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe introduces a new zone centered on the Ministry of Magic, combining elements from the magical London of the original films with the magical Paris from Fantastic Beasts. This world promises to transport us into the bureaucracy and mystery of the magical government, featuring shows, interactive experiences, and a main attraction still under wraps – rumored to be one of the most immersive rides in the park.

Super Nintendo World

After its success in Japan and Hollywood, Nintendo’s universe arrives in full force in Orlando. Here, visitors can explore Bowser’s Castle, race in an augmented reality Mario Kart experience, and immerse themselves in the colorful world of the Mushroom Kingdom. Additionally, there will be an exclusive area dedicated to Donkey Kong Country, featuring an innovative roller coaster that simulates the game’s signature impossible jumps.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

Inspired by the popular DreamWorks saga, this area will be set in the Viking village of Berk, where humans and dragons live in harmony. Visitors will be able to fly alongside Hiccup and Toothless on an aerial roller coaster, participate in interactive games, and immerse themselves in a natural environment filled with Norse mythology, cliffs, and magical creatures.

Dark Universe

This dark and enigmatic world will explore Universal’s classic monsters such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolfman in a gothic, eerie setting. With a main attraction centered on Dr. Frankenstein’s experiments and a narrative blending science and horror, Dark Universe promises to be a favorite for fans of terror and the supernatural.

A vision of the future

In addition to the park, Epic Universe will include themed hotels, direct connectivity with the rest of the resort, and infrastructure that prioritizes sustainability and technology. Universal has made it clear that this new project aims not just to compete with Disney, but to elevate the theme park experience to a new emotional, sensory, and narrative dimension.

Orlando, already known as the world’s entertainment capital, is preparing for a new era. With Epic Universe, Universal isn’t just adding another park – it’s redefining what a universe of fun can be.
